As Sensely continues to reimagine the healthcare sector, we are pleased to share some terrific news with you. Out of 18 presenting companies, Sensely was announced the winner of the WIRED Health 2016 Bupa Startup Stage!

WIRED Health is an annual conference introducing, explaining and predicting trends in the medical and personal healthcare industries. It is a showcase for the extraordinary innovators using technology to reimagine the healthcare sector. Our co-founder and chief medical officer Dr. Ivana Schnur presented in London on Friday April 29th. The WIRED Health 2016 win comes directly off the heels of Sensely finishing as a finalist at the SXSW Pediatric Pitch in March. And winning Outstanding Pitch at the Exponential Medicine Conference last November.

This is a major accomplishment for Sensely and validates our business development efforts. At Sensely we are working very closely with the NHS in England to deliver an integrated online offering to help patients receive the right care at the right time, while giving clinicians the ability to monitor the health of patients remotely.

Sensely was founded on the beliefs that access to world-class care should be seamless. Technology and innovation are compliments to existing infrastructure. And, embracing innovation is the way to build a healthier world.

"We are humbled by this tremendous honor," says co-founder and CMO Dr. Ivana Schnur. "We've spent the last couple years building relationships in the UK. This award gives us the confidence and belief to continue further engagement within the region."

In the UK, Sensely's mobile first platform, provides a virtual nurse, that guides patients through the initial triage process. Using advanced machine learning and a clinical hub connection, patients are either directed to a live clinician, a GP appointment schedule, clinical services locator, or access to medical information and advice. All while maintaining communication with clinicians through electronic health record integration.
